Accepting These Terms
Accepting These Terms
1.1 Acceptance. By using this website, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. These terms, together with your purchase order, are the entire contract between you and us concerning the website and the supply and purchase of products. The contract can only be varied if we agree in writing or by email.
1.2 If you disagree. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use or access this website. If you have any questions about them, please contact our customer service team before placing an order.
1.3 Changes to these terms. We may amend these terms from time to time. Amended terms take effect when posted on this website, and you are deemed to accept an amendment if you use the website after it is posted. It is solely your responsibility to check these terms carefully before you place an order.
About These Terms
About These Terms
These terms apply between you and Manchester House when you purchase items from us through our website. Your statutory rights are not affected or removed by these terms.
2.1 Private and domestic use only. Your contract for purchases through www.manchesterhouse.com.au is with Manchester House. You agree that all items you purchase are not for resale and are for your own private and domestic use only.
2.2 Age. You must be at least eighteen years old to use this website. If you are under eighteen, you may only use it under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian. If you do not qualify, please do not use the website. If Manchester House suffers any damage or loss from a transaction entered into by a minor, we may seek compensation from the minor’s parent(s) or guardian(s).
2.3 True details. You warrant that all personal details you give us for your purchase are true, accurate, current and complete in all respects, that the credit or debit card you use is yours, and that you have sufficient funds to pay in full for the products you order.
2.4 Fraudulent transactions. It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid or stolen credit card to place an order. Anyone who deliberately enters a fictitious or erroneous order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
2.5 Updating your details. If your personal details change, it is your responsibility to tell us as soon as possible so we can update them before your order is dispatched.
2.6 Communication. You agree that we may contact you by email.
2.7 Our right to terminate. We may terminate your purchase contract, and suspend or terminate your access to this website, without prior notice if:
- you breach any of these terms;
- you fail to pay in full when payment is due;
- you fail to give us sufficient personal information within a reasonable time after we ask for it; or
- we have reason to suspect that you have engaged in, are about to engage in, or are involved in fraudulent or illegal activity on Manchester House.
2.8 Accuracy of information and corrections. This website exists to sell our goods and services, and gives information on our products specifically and on similar products in general terms. We endeavour to keep this information accurate, but we do not warrant that it is free from error, and we may make corrections when appropriate.
Pricing, Tax and Promotions

3.2 We may amend the price of any product at any time without prior notice.
3.3 Promotional offers are valid strictly between the dates specified. Promotional stock may sell out quickly (and often does), and raincheques do not always apply to items listed on our website.

4.5 When a contract exists. No contract for the sale of any product exists between you and Manchester House until we accept your order by dispatching the product. We will then email you to confirm our acceptance.

Delivery
Delivery
We will confirm receipt of your order and full payment by email. We commission our trusted courier partners to deliver on our behalf.
6.1 Dispatch. We endeavour to dispatch your order within 1 to 2 business days after your full payment is credited to our account. You can also check the estimated dispatch time for individual items on the product page, cart page or checkout page. If we are waiting on stock for an item that is temporarily out of stock, we will email you an expected dispatch date.
6.2 Multiple-item orders. If some items in an order are out of stock, we will email you and hold the dispatch until all items are available, unless you specifically ask us to send your order in instalments.
6.3 Tracking. Once your order is dispatched, we will email you a tracking number so you can follow its progress through our trusted courier partners’ website.
6.4 Delivery times. Delivery periods are approximate. We do not guarantee that your order will arrive on time.
6.5 Delivery address. Your order will be delivered to the address you gave in your order. Once your order has been processed and dispatched, we cannot redirect it to a different address. We are not responsible for any delay caused by an incorrect or incomplete address. If the courier returns the goods to us because of a wrong address you provided, you must pay a second delivery charge and return to sender fee.
6.6 Recipient. Anyone at your delivery address who receives the goods is presumed by the courier and Manchester House to be authorised by you to receive them. If you want to nominate a particular recipient, please contact us before you pay.
6.7 International delivery. If your delivery address is outside Australia, you may be liable for import duties, taxes and customs clearance charges, which are levied when the parcel arrives in that country. We strongly suggest you contact the relevant customs office for its current policies before ordering. All international shipments may be subject to cross-border inspection by customs authorities.
Cancelling an Order
Cancelling an Order
7.1 Cancellation by you before dispatch. If your order has not been dispatched from our warehouse, you may cancel it by emailing us a cancellation marked “URGENT CANCELLATION”. Include your name, address, the products ordered and the order number. If you want to cancel within three hours of placing the order, email info@manchesterhouse.com.au so we can act immediately.
7.2 Cancellation after dispatch. If you want to cancel after your order has been processed and dispatched, you must wait until you receive the products and then follow our returns procedures. You are fully liable for the shipping and handling costs, because the delivery has been carried out by the logistics company. You must also pay to send the products back to us, unless the return is due to our error.
7.3 Refund on confirmed cancellation. Once we confirm your cancellation and the returned products are in the same condition as when delivered (in the original packaging, including the cardboard folded between the products and the inserts), we will re-credit the amount owed to you, less shipping and handling costs, to the credit or debit account you paid from, within a reasonable time.
7.4 Cancellation by us. We may cancel any part of an order (including an order we have already accepted) at any time, without liability to you, if:
- the products are not available;
- there is an error in the price or product description on the website; or
- we reasonably believe the order was placed in breach of these terms.
If we cancel an order, we will email you a notice of the cancellation.
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
8.1 Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund, replacement or credit if a product has a major problem, meaning it is:
- faulty, defective, damaged or unsafe;
- significantly different from the sample or description; or
- not fit for its intended purpose.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired within a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement. See the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website, https://www.accc.gov.au, for more information. For change-of-mind returns, see clause 9.
8.2 Product Exclusion List. Under the health act, pillows, quilts (also called duvets or donnas), underlays (or underblankets), bed toppers (or mattress toppers), pillow protectors and mattress protectors are non-refundable unless faulty. You cannot return these items under our change-of-mind policy, even if unused. It is your responsibility to choose carefully before you buy.
8.3 Returns and exchange procedure.
- All returns and exchanges must be made within fourteen days after you receive the products.
- Products must be unused and unwashed, and in their original packaging (including the cardboard folded between the products and the inserts).
- Before returning goods for an exchange, refund or credit, email info@manchesterhouse.com.au and we will send you step-by-step return instructions. Mark your email “RETURNS REQUEST” or “EXCHANGE REQUEST” as appropriate.
- Include in your email: your name, contact details, address, original order number(s), products ordered, date of purchase and your reasons for the return or exchange.
8.4 Faulty or incorrectly shipped products. If a product is faulty or was incorrectly shipped through our error, you have up to fourteen days from the date of dispatch to claim an exchange, replacement or refund. Our customer service team will arrange replacement stock to be dispatched to you if necessary.
8.5 Completion. Once we receive your return, a member of our customer service team will complete the process.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Change-of-Mind Returns
The Australian Consumer Law does not require us to provide a refund or replacement for a change-of-mind return. We will still accept the return if:
- the products are unopened, unused and unwashed;
- the products are in their original, undamaged condition and packaging (including the cardboard folded between the products and the inserts); and
- the products are not on the Product Exclusion List (clause 8.2).
9.1 All change-of-mind returns and exchanges must be made within fourteen days after you receive the products.
9.2 You are fully responsible for the postage cost of the delivery you received, and you also bear the postage and packing costs of the return.
9.3 A 30% restocking fee applies to all free postage or free delivery items.
9.4 Before returning goods, email info@manchesterhouse.com.au to get step-by-step instructions. Mark your email “CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS REQUEST” and include your name, contact details, address, original order number(s), products ordered, date of purchase, and your reasons for the return or exchange.
9.5 Once we receive your return, a member of our customer service team will complete the process.

10.1 Except as set out below, we do not accept liability for errors or omissions on our website. We may change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services.
10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Manchester House excludes all liability for any direct or indirect loss, consequential loss, damage, harm, cost or expense, however or wherever sustained, including any that results from the following:
- Product unavailability. If a product displayed on the website becomes unavailable at any time, we are not responsible for fulfilling an order for it.

- Delivery delays. We have no liability for any delay in delivery, or any matter, to the extent it is caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including postal strikes, labour disputes, malicious damage, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, acts of God, war, flood, fire, governmental actions, wrong item(s) shipped to you and any other similar incident.
- Wrong or defective items. If you receive goods that are not what you ordered, are defective or damaged, or are a different quantity from your order, email us within seven days after receiving them. We will then rectify the problem as soon as possible and give you instructions on how to return the goods.
- Internet fraud. We have taken every reasonable measure to prevent internet fraud and to store customer data as securely as possible. We are not liable in the unlikely event of a breach of our secure computer servers.
- Access and use of our website. We endeavour to maintain the security of our website and the data we collect, but we do not warrant that the website or its servers will meet your online safety requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or virus-free.
